eek time flies like an arrow and fruit flies like a banana

Last mention I made in here of the summer of 68 was in the beginning of August and the last installment was July 21, now it is September.... I so can't cope with time as much as it bores vakratunda for me to say that again.

Anyways, we quickly gave up on Stockholm and went to Copenhagen. As far as we know, we're not Danish, but my name is, so I still felt that this was a connection to the place.

There are a couple of great things you have to do in Copenhagen if you are a kid, are traveling with kids, or feel like a kid.

#1 - Go to Tivoli an amusement park directly across the street from the train station.

#2 - Go to the statue of the Little Mermaid. Yikes! Until I just looked at this link I didn't know she had been decapitated in 1964! In 1968 her head was definitely on her shoulders. Lots of big boys - teenagers or such - were swimming and climbing and trying to kiss her.

CA Governor Debates -

Georgy Russell is my favorite candidate. She's an east bay native, came through the public schools there, and includes that as a qualification in her campaign . See the reasons she gives for her death penalty and domestic partnership stances. She's also got a plan for fixing the budget problems. I have never seen a candidate I agreed more with.

She wasn't in the debate though. They only had the five people with the highest poll numbers, minus one who isn't up to holding his own in such a forum. After hearing this debate on the radio tonight --

I liked Peter Camejo the best, and Arianna second best. I still like Georgy better.

I was cured of any thought of ever voting for Bustamante - ugggh shiver recoil.

Ueberroth is trying to promise jobs, but most of the other things he says are not good.

McClintock is the exact opposite of anything I could agree with on nearly everything. The anti-Georgy. Don't let them in the same room I'm afraid they'd come together and explode and be gone like matter and anti-matter.

Afterwards the reporters said that there were some of the other candidates outside the hall, talking to people, reportedly seeking some publicity. ( Read more... )
