I've been seeing ads on the back of busses that are touting the short waits in the ER at San Jose Medical Center.
According to their home page they are also running radio ads for their emergency center. You can even listen to it online.
The reason this is bugging me is because this hospital is slated to be closed by Columbia/HCA, the big corporation that bought it and some other local hospitals.
List of anticlosure coalition members. The site is not real clear on the matter now, but the "guiding spirit" on the steering committee was the person in leading this group, but last spring at a demonstration against the closure, he had a heart attack and died the next day. Oddly appropriate I think, for a long time activist to go at a demonstration.
