Mar. 27th, 2003 10:19 amI'm so behind in writing anything here.
Partly it was because after reading everyone else's journal, I sort of felt like I should say something about this war, and also like it was time for a different topic. My feelings and opinions about this war are rather complex, and they don't all agree with each other.
( cut for those who want to skip this part. )
EEK so I did babble about it finally - on other topics altogether -
Planting a vegetable garden, I've got about half of it in. Need to clear some more weeds to get the rest in. Let's hope these survive my normally rather brown thumb. It will be nice to have real tomatos. The peas look like they already want support. I'm starting with the little plants in 6-paks rather than just seeds. Although we've been here for several years, this only the second vegie garden. The last two years it was just too difficult for me to walk out there. This year it's alright if I use a cane or use the hoe as a cane or something to get out there. I stopped using a cane for normal walking 2 yrs ago, but I need it to get to the garden because the tree roots make the ground so rough. ( If you're going why cane? It's because I broke my leg in 2000. The problem with rough ground is ongoing due to a hereditary neurological problem (the mildest form of muscular dystrophy).)
Cleaning the house bit-by-bit, since
revlainiep is coming out for a few days and Josh's party is Saturday. Also had plumbers here yesterday because Josh punctured a sprinkler line. They turned off the water for a couple hours without warning us which was irritating, but all seems to be well now.
I've still got a huge to-do list, and writing this has taken much longer than I expected, gotta run.
