three foreign films
Mar. 18th, 2003 05:35 pmOkay between a week ago Sunday night, and this just happened Sunday night I saw three foreign movies with subtitles, so it seems like time to review them a bit.
Cuts are because of length. I'm trying not to put in too many spoilers, though it's hard.
Atanarjuat
This movie is in Inuit, filmed, written, and acted by Inuits, telling a local story set 2000 years ago. The timing for it's setting I got from the website. Within the movie - the time is pretty timeless.

This is the Japanese original movie on which the movie the Ring was based. I saw the American version a few days later.
