I snapped a pic of the instrument he used to find it too. I was asked how large it was. I'd guess about 5 ft. I was told that that was small, but I suppose it's not the size that counts it's what you do with it.

Yes [livejournal.com profile] vakratunda would say it's not a planet.

The Baths them selves are amazing :) part of why I came while it's still August is that they are open and torchlit in the evening.

It's sunny now, but it was raining all day. I did fix my photo problem, so hopefully I will have many pics. I got someone to drive me to Avebury/Silbury Hill (couldn't really cope with walking up to West Kennet barrow in the weather conditions) and Wayland's Smithy and where we could see Uffington Horse and the Rollrights, and on the way through tons of little villages. It's a bit of overload, but it was how I could manage to get there.

Time to drag myself and the groceries I picked up back up to the Hostel and eat and crash a bit. There is something called the Bizarre Bath walk which is supposed to be quite funny, but I'm not up to it tonight, perhaps tomorrow.

This internet cafe has a bank of four clocks on the wall with labels for the locales covered. They are "Radstock", "Bradford", "Marshfield", "Peasdown St. John" so they all say 7:25.

Oh yeah, speaking of groceries... I really am in a foreign country, or a looking glass world. People seem to mostly be speaking my language, except when they aren't. The groceries had some familiar brand names and some not, but even the familiar brands are labeled why differently and often in 6 or so different languages in tiny print. Everything is almost normal, but way not normal at the same time.
