We had this theory that it might be interesting to actually go see a movie in a theater. Perhaps Harry Potter.

First we went to the new Camera 12 theater because it was near the library where I picked him up. It wasn't that easy to find at first, because we were looking for it on 3rd St and it's on 2nd. At least there was another couple wandering on 3rd when we were looking lost. We asked them about Camera 12 and they said that was what they were looking for too. So we weren't the only silly ones. They didn't have Harry and nothing else seemed that appealing to us.

So we looked in the Metro and determined that the only places that showed HP in the evening, not just in the afternoon, are a place in Mt View and Century 24. So we went to Century 24. I didn't have enough cash for the tickets there. The attitude of the cashier when he told me I had to have cash seemed so anti-customer, that although we did possibly have time to go get cash and come back, I just really didn't want to.

So we headed off for the theater on Calaveras in Milpitas to see Saved. We were a few minutes late and I hate coming into movies after they started, so we decided to see Mean Girls and Van Helsing (yes a double feature!) instead. Double feature and $3.50 instead of $9.50 - wow. Used to be several theaters like that around. This seems to be the only one left.

I didn't know Van Helsing was going to be funny, but it was. At least we and the people just behind us laughed a lot. Mean Girls was somewhat amusing, but in some ways I think Van Helsing was funnier. Perhaps Mean Girls was more the scary movie.

I fall asleep easy sitting still in the dark so I drank coffee in the movie and now I'm still up, Sigh, knew that would happen. I need to switch to more diurnal hours since I'll have work to get to in the morning.
