hmm, been another half month
Jan. 16th, 2004 12:55 amWhat else can I say?
Thought about posting various memes/quizzes, but not right now.
I've been trying to read lj about once a day because if I go longer there gets to be way too much to catch up on, and if I read it more frequently it becomes a distraction.
Speaking of distractions for a while between Thanksgiving and New Years or so I was watching more tv than usual, but now I'm sick of that... just back to a couple of shows - it's better when I tape them so I can fast forward the commercials. Unfortunately I think my Eastenders is just plain gone :( from the local pbs station. Yes I'll admit that one show I watched was the Simple Life, and that now I plan to watch Surreal Life 2.
I did read all 5 Harry Potter books. I was getting really sick of the formula where at the end there is this big revelation of stuff that you had no way to know. I liked that in book 5 it consisted of stuff that by that time seemed pretty apparent or sensible instead.
I've got the dark materials books out of the library but so far have barely started the first one.
In other news related to my last post, my mother decided that she would like scents after all and had me scent her shower gel orange and her lotion sandalwood!
I had several yuck colds in a row and seem to be finally really getting over them.
Been working on the businesses and all - quite a lot of time even - so why am I still so behind on things I want to have done already! sigh. Well I'll get there.
well this should prove that i'm at least pretending to be alive still and give you a micro catch up -- though of course there are many other things I've thought of posting the last few weeks and haven't like ...
1) I saw a truck that said:
HALL
ASS
on it in big white letters (it was a dark truck). when I got closer I saw that it really said
Hall and
Associates
with the other letters deliberately made to not stand out as well.
2) I saw another (or perhaps the same on a different freeway) peach colored new Beetle - the only car I've seen that inspires the desire in me to go lick it. (not practical at freeway speeds)
