No more duck, we finished it off Sunday morning. After 3 days of duck-ness I think I'm in withdrawals.

Saturday night Josh showed two videos to those here [livejournal.com profile] revlainiep, [livejournal.com profile] prettyoctopussy, [livejournal.com profile] phygelus and those other people that just have not been absorbed yet!

Anyhow we watched Dagon - which some of us found a bit bloody, but still it is a touching tale of family values and homecoming :).

Also Atanarjuat, which had people absorbed. [livejournal.com profile] phygelus has since been spotted recommending it himself. If you go to rent it, look for "Fast Runner", that is more prominent on the box (Atanarjuat apparently means Fast Runner).

My stress level is pretty high this last week or so, ever since we needed the plumbers, but I think it'll be a bit better soon. Yes finances are the root of it :P urgh.

Had not-fun with Josh's computer tonight, he tried to change some of the display settings and it decided to just forget what video card driver to use. After some false tries, I finally figured it out though, so it's back to more normal state (with the change he originally wanted made).

Almost finished with the project that supposedly needed FrontPage, though I'm thinking that really it didn't. I even wound up doing the contact form with PHP and my own Javascript instead of the FrontPage way. At least I've got some experience using it now in case anyone else insists it's necessary for something. It's a decently pleasant editor in some ways, and rather annoying in a few. Overall much better than I expected it to be. Yeah I'm one of those annoying code it in Wordpad or vi types.

I really want to tell a joke, but I can't think of any. It's really been a pretty sedate April Fools day.

I remember once when I was little my mother insisting that it was snowing, and I knew it wasn't and said so. It was Oakland! Even a 6 yr old knows it's just an April Fool thing. She kept insisting though till I came to the window, then she said she'd gotten me. Uh, was I supposed to stay away from all windows and doors all day then? I was just trying to get her to shut up about the snow already.

My mother also insists that wearing orange on St Patricks day counts as Irish so she shouldn't get pinched. I don't think I'd have ever succeeded with that line in school.

More eventually, may even be more coherent and organized by then.
